Thinking about becoming Catholic?
OCIA (formerly RCIA) is how anyone — never baptized, coming from another Christian tradition, or a baptized Catholic finishing the sacraments — is welcomed into the Church. Here’s where it happens across Florida.

Miami-Dade (Archdiocese-wide)
Process typically runs fall through the Easter Vigil; inquire year-round

RCIA/OCIA is the process the Church uses to help non-Catholics learn about the faith and become Catholic; OCIA classes are offered at parish locations throughout the archdiocese. Director: Sister Karen Muniz, SCTJM. The office provides catechist certification, sponsor certificates, and intake forms. Start the process by contacting this office or a local parish (usually classes begin in the fall and culminate at the Easter Vigil).
